I would like to thank Kevin Conlon for his coverage of the Speak Out Against Hate forum. As a Lewes resident, the current situation concerning ICE and the immigrant population in Sussex County is of great interest to me. Mr. Conlon’s article gave me a great deal of information, and I appreciate the Cape Gazette for covering what I suspect will be an increasingly important factor in our day-to-day living in Sussex County. As your motto says, “The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.” I hope to see more articles in the future.

Authors may submit a second letter within that time period if it pertains to a different issue. Letters may not be critical of personalities or specific businesses. Criticism of public figures is permissible. Endorsement letters for political candidates are no longer accepted. Letters must be the author’s original work, and may not be generated by artificial intelligence tools. Templates, form letters and letters containing language similar to other submissions will not be published.
