Milton food pantry asks public to support Postal Service drive
Holiday food drives, although very generous, are over. The food gathered from those drives has already been distributed to more than 1,700 families in one local food pantry alone. In these uncertain times, local food pantries are struggling to purchase food, especially with rising costs and increased clientele. In Delaware alone, more than 134,000 people are facing hunger! That translates to 1 in 7 people, 1 in 5 children and 1 in 9 seniors!
One way you can help is to support your postal workers in their annual food drive. Please consider donating food to the U.S. Postal Service Stamp Out Hunger food drive Saturday, May 9. Place nonperishable food items by your mailbox and your mail carriers will do the rest! Thank you, as always, for helping your neighbors in need!
