The Route 1 center median from the Five Points intersection all the way down to the Forgotten Mile into Dewey Beach is a mess. There is broken concrete, broken glass, clogged drains, trash, unkempt grass, weeds, construction equipment, gravel buildup, potholes and broken, bent and unnecessary signs. Why does it look like this? It should always be perfect. Currently, it is ridiculous. Is it a county responsibility? Is it a state responsibility? Whoever it may be, can the responsible party please address this mess with the urgency its current state demands?

Criticism of public figures is permissible. Endorsement letters for political candidates are no longer accepted. Letters must be the author’s original work, and may not be generated by artificial intelligence tools. Templates, form letters and letters containing language similar to other submissions will not be published.
