Walls go up at Milton Theatre expansion

May 3, 2026

Walls have begun to go up at the Milton Theatre’s 2,850-square-foot expansion scheduled to be completed in August.

The construction so far has been in the rear half of the addition. The concrete foundation was poured in March.

The $3 million expansion will include new rehearsal spaces, green rooms and offices, as well as new bathrooms. The addition is Phase 2 of a large renovation project to the more than 100-year-old theater, with Phase 1 being the balcony restoration finished in 2023. The desire to move forward with the project came from the popularity of the theater’s youth programs, including the Musical Theatre Ensemble, which are held in the spring and fall, and the summer theater camps, which sell out quickly and often have waiting lists.
